Pt screened and accepted into study. Vitals taken. Pt stable. Take out Corecyte (umbilical cord matrix) 1ml from cryofreezer tank and thaw for 3-5 mins.
Prep patient and area of injection using sterile technique. Cleanse area with alcohol pad. Using a 3 or 5ml syringe draw up with an 18-gauge needle suspension of Corecyte. Change needles to 22-25-gauge needle. Use guided imaginary or visuals of knee cap. Insert needle into the intra-articular space of the knee. Aspirate, then inject solution. Use 2×2 gauze to place over injection site and hold for a few seconds.
